Karin has been work for Marginpar since 2012 and has felt connected to the company since her very first designation . She has shaped Marginpar ’s creative identity and designed numerous expressions in the meantime .
Karin : " It ’s nice to be involve in the master lines , in grow the strategy . But also in smaller thing , such as contrive the birth announcement for the Clematis Amazing ® Havana . "
Never just any designWhat exactly does Karin do ? Karin : " My studio develop classifiable identities for brands and environments . We cautiously examine the values of an arrangement and translate them into history that align with the character of the organization . This way , the character becomes tangible and results in a positive experience and fundamental interaction . " In 1994 , Karin graduate from the ' Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht ' ( HKU ) ( schoolhouse of arts ) . Here she developed into a architect with a conceptual approach . For each pattern , she immerses herself in the capable affair and conduct encompassing inquiry . " That ’s what make it interesting for me . Otherwise , it would just be about create beautiful things . That ’s not what you desire . At least , not me . You want to go deeper , find the connection with the fellowship and be able to visualize it again . "

" So much has happened since 2012 . I ’ve seen Marginpar develop , and by growing along in this process , you really start up to feel connected . Sometimes I even feel like I make for at Marginpar myself . In 2012 , I started designing the logo , and from that moment on , I begin getting involved with the identity operator . In the meanwhile , this identity has been further developed , and we have come a long way in terms of designs . For example , a novel serial of flower sleeve and boxwood , the website , various exhibition stands , the cartridge holder but also the signing and branding of Marginpar ’s new headquarters . "
From scratchOne bighearted project that Karin was involved in was the branding of the new Marginpar headquarters , wholly ' from dough . ' " I care to tell stories through imagery but also leave room for the viewer ’s own rendition . You achieve this by project with a sure horizontal surface of generalisation . While designing the packaging , we chose an abstract and demonstrative style , likable shapes that can shape pattern together . Shapes that are sluttish to associate with Marginpar . When designing the fresh headquarters , we continued with this illustrative approach , do the identity of Marginpar tangible in every space . "
An organic processSimplicity and abstraction toy an important role in Karin ’s work . The inspiration for the branding of the Modern headquarters was an organic physical process for her . " Having been involved in developing within Marginpar for years , you hump exactly what the next whole step should be . The ideas are a reply to what is fall out at Marginpar . Although , it is also something visceral . When I design , I often sleep with whether it jibe and is right-hand . "

Attention to detail"Implementing the design down to the smallest detail is a digital craft process . You start with a uncut sketch and then act upon on it in item . " We notice that Karin is very precise . It ’s a great tone , but it can also be gainsay when it comes to design wallpaper and glass wall . " Since many pattern are symmetrical in nature , you ca n’t smuggle a few millimeters to the unexpended or right when applying them . in the end , it has to be spot on to the millimeter . It ’s a task that require attention to detail . "
What stories are actually being secernate in the newfangled central office ? Karin : " Different stories that all recite something about Marginpar . It start at the entering , where we tell you about the integral cycle as you walk up the stairs . From breeding a seed , testing in the Flower Lab , trials in the line of business , and so on . We terminate with an amazing portfolio of summer flush . Each glass wall also secern a storey . In the selling section , we depict communion of information about ware , while in the circuit board rooms , the focus is on connecting with other parts of the world . " Karin tells us that each design is unequalled and has its own theme . The designs of the new military headquarters represent sustainable relationship , being progressive , integrity , transparency , and , of course , being colorful . "
Looking to the futureAre there any great projects in the pipeline ? " The magazine , The Story of M , is coming up again ! I ’m already look forwards to that . Working with beautiful images and interesting tale . It ’s a real joy to make a new topic ! " . But besides her study for Marginpar , Karin does n’t sit still . " This year , I ’m going to work out on develop a fresh identity element for a parking garage . In addition , I hope to find a beautiful pip for my art aim , ' Connect , ' an interactive judiciary . There ’s plenty of exciting things to look onwards to ! "
