When we started our small farm back in 2010 –   the goal from the beginning was simple – to have a well - balance self - sufficient lifestyle . mean that we would become responsible for most of our own intellectual nourishment through growing and preserving , take an active role in create as much of what we need ourselves – and most importantly – have a life-time together and time   to enjoy our family and friend .   In short – to be and wipe out sizeable , and of course most significantly – have fun doing it .

Well , it ’s become obvious that those simple goal are shared by so many mass from all over and from all walk of living .

This retiring workweek we receive an email from Laura and Andy Berger , a youthful twosome that we first had the joy to meet at an candid house and garden class we held at the farm in early 2014 .   When we first met them – the Berger ’s wanted many of the same affair we had want when we started our little garden and farm – to rise , make and keep much of our own food , eat healthy , and revel the total mental process .

Well , it is well-to-do to see that they are now be the dreaming !   Not only have they started a large raise row garden , which included   growing   their own plants from seed – but Laura now has a new blog(see : The GreeneBerger)that is spreading the word as well !

One of my favorite citation on their internet site comes from the first two lines describing their food philosophy:“Eat genuine   food .   Not food that has been man - made into something that we call food , but substantial food that come from the Earth . ”

Quite honestly , that says it all !   ( In fact – head over if you could and give them a ‘ Like ” on theGreeneberger Facebook page .   I ca n’t accent how important it is forall of usto financial backing fellow gardeners ! )

There have been so many others that have select the same steps to turn and preserve their own food .   We get emails daily from people from all corners of the humankind tell us about how they started their first garden , or have built a few container on their patio or porch to grow and enjoy their own refreshful tomato plant and peppers for the first time .

We were   altogether   surprise a few months back when we were out and approach by a utter stranger ( Dustin ) who recognized us from the our blog . Dustin introduced himself , and allow us know he was a proud patron of our upcoming Scripture project . He also shared his fib and pictures of how he is start out his own garden as well .   Not only that – he is raising his own chickens too !
