SixOnSaturday
So , October then . Downhill to Christmas ! I only have one “ short ” run to do this weekend , a mere 32 kilometre , so I may actually get some horticulture done this weekend . I did spend some fourth dimension last Sunday battling with bindweed and the cosmopolitan nation of gigantism in the front garden , fulfil my green bin to the brim .
Time for Six on Saturday . Six things , in the garden , on a Saturday . Could be anything , you decide . fall in in !

Here are my Six for this week …
1 – Tithonia ‘ Red Torch ’ , still green . This yearbook is taking its own sweet time to flower , it is now in a subspecies against the first frost which should pass off some metre in the second half of this month . I ’m not concur my breathing time …
2 – Too many incandescent lamp . Again . Sigh , why do I do this to myself ? I was actually late with my parliamentary law this class , normally I get it done when the catalogue comes out in July . They all arrived yesterday . I gravel them out of the big box they came in , then put them straight back ! I wait they ’ll sit there brooding , expect for me to get them in the ground and in pots . I buy an gimlet drill bit specifically designed with incandescent lamp planting in idea , I ’m hop that fix thing soft to plant those intend for the ground .

If you ’re concerned , here is what I drive .
3 – Aster ‘ Bahamas ’ , maybe . Yet another aster , this one beautify my front garden and has raise into a decent thump . About genu high , it is a rather shocking subtlety of pink . I should part the clump next spring .
4 – Cobea Scandens , cupful - and - saucer vine . grow from seed this class , by the meter i stick around to planting them out I did n’t have a wall of fence with enough space to uprise them up . I planted these out in a 20L bath with some canes for them to climb up . That seemed to work OK , they acquire well , but they are only just flowering now , and not in numbers either . I did n’t fertilise them at all , nor was I particularly persevering with the watering , that may not have help oneself .

5 – Aster , small one ! I bought this for 25p off the ruth terrace last class after it had mostly fail over . I do n’t know what variety it is , but it is low growing , maximum 30 cm .
6 – Begonia ‘ Angel ’s Blush ’ . My original plant died over the winter , but I had fill some leaf cuttings that take root nicely in the greenhouse . I establish some of those out in the border , and they seem happy enough , although quite a bit modest than the original . If I remember I will labor them up and store them for the winter somehow . And if I forget , they ’ll likely disquiet it .
Have a super horticulture weekend , do n’t forget to pop back later on as more linkup get added during the day .

I ’ll be back next weekend with another # SixOnSaturday .
