At this time of class , Six on Saturday set out to sort out the straw from the chaff , the chickens from the slovenly person * , the dabblers from the devotees . It is starting to get trickier to find six things . The days of plenty are long gone , a sure amount of creativeness is required . 2 – Tulip planting . Last Sunday I made a good gouge in the remaining tulip backlog , engraft eight of those big pots . Approximately 20 lead into each one . Being quite large they take quite a flock of compost to fill . Fortunately I have a goodly ( and free ) supply of domicile made compost which I ’m very well-chosen to utilize for this design .

4 – Camelia ‘ Nuccio ’s Pearl ’ bud . Exciting , my first camellia . buy as a minor shrub earlier this year , this is its first wintertime in the primer coat . I planted it in a big hole backfilled mostly with ericaceous compost . I anticipate I will postulate to top it up every now and again as I do n’t have acidulous dirt . It has n’t put on an dreadful deal of growth this year , so it needs to get its digit out .
5 – Leaves . recall the virginia tree creeper from last calendar week ? Most of those leaves are on the floor now , mixed up here with the nearby dwarf magnolia .
6 – wither hosta . step by step sinking back into the land , this will soon disappear until next spring .
