Blooming, and reblooming, despite setbacks

Here ’s how it started — bare ground that would become the newrose garden .
Thesoilwas pack together , atrocious red , jolting malicious gossip . It take two Man three hour to savvy / chisel just 10 holes !
All that hard work paid off . Here is the roseate garden at three years old .
A hugeclimbing rose , ‘ Mme Isaac Pereire ’ , grows up a hugearbormade of chain - connection fencing posts . ‘ Mme Isaac Pereire ’ is an old rose in the bourbon radical with incrediblefragrant flowers .
Awildfirein 2018 destroyed 170 roses and the house . It was heartrending to see those burnt stems , which had been cover up with fragrant flowers .
But there are survivor . Carol ’s childhood wagon , made by her Padre , wangle to survive the attack , and Carol find three babycactiunder the burned mother plants . Here is the cactus in full salad days ; the piddling plant develop 35 flower .
A gorgeous , massive red lily ( Liliumhybrid , Oriental group , Zones 4–9 ) is growing strong despite being in a smallpot , and it blooms heavily inJulywhen it ’s 105 ° F daily .
A perfect blush wine is play up in a water bowl .
