And summer garden are glorious , of course , with an abundance of bold flush and productive color that utterly suit outdoor summertime activities . By August , though , heat and teetotal spell take their toll on spring and summer perennials ; garden can look well-worn and tattered .

Time to retreat indoors ? No way . Below are four industrial plant that keep the pastime going in August and into autumn .
