Today ’s photos are from Linda and Terry Walsh in Simcoe , Ontario . Linda says,“My husband and I have been influence on our garden for the past 27 years . We started with 5 acres of erstwhile crimson pines and poison ivy ! We lugged and fire all of the utter and diseased trees and substitute them with specimen tree diagram . The land , being almost complete sand , ask perpetual tearing . We eventually got timeworn of lugging hose and put in an irrigation system . This scheme has give us the energy to keep up with the day-by-day tasks of pruning and abut .
“ Over the age we have have planted many rhododendron and hydrangeas and now grow our own from film editing . The irrigation arrangement has help many tree such as redbuds produce from seeds and we now have over 30 redbuds and 20 dogwood tree . All three pond have been dug by hand , the latest one just outside our kitchen windowpane . When we ’re not weed , pruning , or mow lawn we care to spend time with our dogs , peacocks , and beautiful koi . ”
