More of a gorgeous garden
We ’re back in New Zealand today to see more of Jill Hammond ’s beautiful garden . She has spend the last 28 years transforming a 7.5 - hectare ( 18.5 - Akka ) art object of demesne in rural Hawkes Bay , New Zealand . When she and her married man moved in , it was a completely simple firearm of country , so she ’s created this entire garden from nothing .
The bank garden ison a slope , which allow the plants in the back to show off over those planted lower on the slope . There are genus Melia trees(Melia azedarach , Zones 7–10 ) along the top , and the lower hedge is principal jasmine(Trachelospermum jasminoides , Zones 8–10 ) .
‘ Graham Thomas ’ rise , birches(Betula utilis var . jacquemontii , geographical zone 5–8 ) , andPittosporumsheered into golf game balls in the front

I love get my elephant garlic(Alliumampeloprasumvar.ampeloprasum , Zones 3–9 ) go to seminal fluid — and so do the bee !
Crataegus laevigata‘Paul ’s Scarlet ’ ( Zones 4–8 ) and Bowles ’s mauve rampart flowers(Erysimum‘Bowles ’s Mauve ’ , zona 6–9 ) , with a hedging of ‘ Six Hill ’s Giant ’ catmint(Nepeta‘Six Hill ’s Giant ’ , Zone 3 – 8) to the right
View down to the lowly tier , through ‘ Blanc Double de Coubert’rosehedges

My husband built our daughters a wendy house year ago . It remains a well - loved feature . It is beleaguer byCarextestacea(Zones 6–8 ) andStachysbyzantina(Zones 4–9 ) . To the right you may see a ‘ Grosso ’ lavender(Lavandula× intermedia‘Grosso ’ , Zones 6–10 ) hedging .
The garden is on many horizontal surface , so steps are a vulgar feature .
Here is another mixed bottom , with burgundy lorapetalum(Loropetalumchinense , Zones 7–10 ) on the right . A crying elm(Ulmus glabra‘Camperdownii ’ Zones 5–7 ) is still to come into folio on the top tier .
