I originally design this squash rackets arch for my garden way back in 2010 . It turned out even more beautiful than I ideate , and it ’s been the main centrepiece in my veggie patch ever since .

How I Designed This Squash Arch
When I first set out to design this project , the biggest challenge I had was constructing an arch that would be substantial enough to confirm the vines once they became sonorous with squash .
I knew I want to usemetal garden fence , but that alone is n’t strong enough to defend up , specially around the top of the archway . So I come up with a plan that use PVC piping to support the fencing material .
To make it tall enough , I ask two piece of piping for each side . I glued them together using a specialPVC glue , and then weaved them into the fencing .

Once my squash archway was up , I spray paint the PVC black to make it look like alloy . you could paint it any colouring material you want , be originative .
Just verify to use aplastics spraying paint , and do it before you implant any seedling so they do n’t get sprayed with paint .
Planting Your Squash Arch
My favorite types of squelch plants to develop on my arch areSugar Pie Pumpkins , Butternut , andDelicata . But you could pick out any kind that you want , as long as it ’s not a bush - type .
Once you have your archway countersink up , you could plant your squash on the inside or the outside of the archway , that does n’t weigh . I have mine in a raised bed , so I establish the squash on the inside of the archway .
