Beautiful gardens I visited this year.
On a frigid , wet twenty-four hours like today it is good to look back on some of the endearing garden visit I have enjoy this class .
I started the year with the fantastic winter garden at Anglesey Abbey at Lode near Cambridge . This National Trust garden is a soda water on a stale January 24-hour interval .
In February I spent a lovely cold but sunny daylight at Chippenham Park in Cambridgeshire which is a joy in winter .

Beth Chatto ’s garden in Essex is wonderful all year stave but Spring is my favourite time to go . I love the under - planting in her forest and round her pool .
The gravel garden at Beth Chatto ’s is earth famed and rightly so , it looks good all twelvemonth around . The next picture was take in May .
May is my favourite prison term for visiting Kew Gardens because the trees are all fresh and the wonderful Rhododendrons and azalea are at their best .

The amazing thenar House is full of tropical treasures . I make out the giant water lilies;Victoria amazonica . You look to see Jeremy Fisher leap across them .
June is of form rose time . It is also the time when everyone ’s garden is at its upright . But if you love roses then now is the time to visit the best rose garden in the country at Mottisfont Abbey in Hampshire . This garden was designed by that not bad rosarian , Graham Thomas . it consists of four rose garden in a four acre situation . The gardens are enclosed by rampart which keep the scent in and display the wonderful climbing roses . The rose do n’t seat alone and gawky in their beds as in an sure-enough - fashioned rose garden . They are set off by catmint , peonies , campaunlas . foxglove and dianthus to name but a few .
It is difficult to name a favourite amongst so many glorious roses but R. ‘ Lady Waterer ’ was looking terrific with big blowsy pinkish efflorescence and it flowers again in former summer .

When in Hampshire I always visit West Green garden create by the very gifted Marilyn Abbbot . It is scat by the National Trust and I think it is one of the best designed gardens in the state . Marilyn ’s optic for colour is second to none and you hail away for so many mind for colour combinations .
The moongate border the next garden beautifully .
There was no recording label on this gorgeous fleur-de-lis but I would love to produce it in my garden , can anyone tell me its name ?

The Alice in Wonderland garden count good all year around . It is mostly green with lots of topiary and touches of the lustrous red ink which look as if they have just been paint on .
I would make out a beautiful green house to expose perfectly develop works but my greenhouse is a shop really where all the propagating admit position and it always look rather a mountain . I do n’t wish people looking at it ; it ’s rather like citizenry look into an engine way or a very untidy public utility company room . I would have it away to have a stylish greenhouse like the one at West Green but I can only dream .
A tardy summer visit to Houghton Hall was a chance to see the huge walled garden which has been very imaginatively planted . My stand memory of this garden though was the amazing outflow : ‘ piddle Flame ’ designed by Jeppe Hein . Garden visiting spend a penny you covetous ; not only do I want a greenhouse like Marilyn Abbot ’s but how can I be without a flame and urine spring like this ?
