Every farm process is different and constantly commute .
One thing that does not change is the need for teamwork on the farm. Teamwork makes or breaks farmlife.
It takes a squad to successfully manage farm . Farms size is arise while the number of farms are decreasing . While the mediocre eld of the farmer is still comparatively midway - aged and up , many younger men AND women are coming back to farm and to farming fields .
Younger generations coming back to the farm mean younger families involved in agriculture . Young parents who still may ask to work caper in town to pay off the farm inputs . Families with children who need beloved , encouragement , and growth .
I take the air in the shoe of many young farm match on a daily basis . We struggle to make remainder meet and to witness the paths we want to take to reach our ambition of growing our farm .

It ’s exceedingly important to sympathise that land is not just a job . It is a lifestyle . Teamwork must be there to make or break farmlife . The life you want to live .
My married man and I are just enter our 30 ’s . After six years , our farm and family is growing . Here are 7 way we utilize teamwork to poise life to ride out afloat :
Bills & Bookwork
Farm notice are high , so we attempt to keep data track of what we spend for farm supply and inputs as well as home supplies , such as groceries . I exit most of this up to Matt . He is the money man , but he save me posted on how we are doing .
Both of us usecredit cardsfor most of our farm , gaseous state , and grocery spending . He yield the eyeshade off completely each calendar month .
For farm records , he usesExcelspreadsheets to track farm and living expenses and income .

I do a little record keeping when it comes to the livestock . I keep track of nativity , fosterage , and veterinary criminal record . We keep all ourreceiptsin single file folders in our office to track our spending as well .
We are able-bodied to pay inputs and hold up comfortably using this organisation thanks to our town job .
Town Jobs
At this degree in clip , both of us work full time town jobs plus a duo of part time jobs off the farm . We are incessantly running back and forth between our jobs and the farm .
This may surprise you , but we do n’t quite have enough farm ground to make husbandry full time workplace for us . So , we have Job in the agricultural industry . Our job are flexible enough , leave Matt and I to take off during a livestock hand brake or to plant or harvest our crops . We both work many nights and weekend , but somehow we make it mold .
It takes constant communication between us to be trusted we are on the same page . This is an of the essence quality of a good team .

It is a dream that someday , we will be able to farm full time without town problem . But , for now , we both work hard to control our debt and to make indisputable our dreams are growing in the veracious direction .
Many young couples like us are in the same boat .
It necessitate teamwork and hard piece of work to move mountains .

Housework
By the death of everyday , we all come to a place to slumber for the dark .
I will admit I am no “ Suzie Homemaker ” when it comes to keeping house . I contemn housework .
Although , I screw it needs done , I make myself do it . grumble all the way .

My wonderful teammate and hubby picks up my falling off many daylight . It for certain take two around these parts to keep a gracious home we can delight .
Meals
We also have to eat and we ready everything at home . My family assay to have a gracious repast together with ourfresh land run through . We are able to keep our grocery bill lower this direction .
Matt is done with his townspeople task before I am , so many times , he will start cooking dinner party before Mylee and I get home . I am very thankful for this . Especially now thatI’m pregnant .
On weekend , Matt or I will make large meals so we can have remnant throughout the week .

I like left over night . I can fire up up intellectual nourishment in the microwave oven !
It ’s almostcrock potseason . We will be using ourslow cookersquite a bit , which will save bunch of time in the evenings .
Kids
Our baby may have been the most difficult modulation as we continue to produce and juggle farm , job , and repast .
It takes teamwork to keep the youthful child engaged and happy while the parents are exploit on the farm .
We have to make trusted Mylee is safe when we go livestock or with craw . Many metre , she has her colour book and collation in the pick up or in her stroller . Thank goodness for Sage . She ’s the in effect babysitter ever .

Mylee goes to Clarence Shepard Day Jr. care while we are at work . If we have night or weekend meetings on the same night , this poses a problem as to whom will pick Mylee up and watch her for the evening .
Enter Grandma .
Grandma has been our hero since day one . We can always count on her to save the day . She ’s near by and usually free in the evenings . Thanks , Grandma for being part of our squad !

Mylee has also began to take somegymnasticsand swimming lessons . This has tally to our running , but skills I want her to learn as she grows .
Livestock Chores
Matt and I enjoy doing job together with Mylee . This is the time where we can spill , see our animals , and just relax in our elements . If neither one of us can do chores that evening , the other covers all the chores .
The outdoors and the b are where I ’m most comfortable . I mentioned to begin with I ’m not a “ Suzie Homemaker ” . House cleaning and cooking are not on my top anteriority inclination , but I will never complain when asked to do chores . I will promote myself as squad leader of chore time .
Communication & Support
Communication is the heart and potato of our life . We communicate mainly through text via our mobile phone phones . I like to know where he is at all times . Just in case .
Our town jobs can be stressful and demanding at times . He ’s my rock and I attempt to be his . It ’s important to have that living of each other to fetch each other back up .
What would happen if you became a farmer as well?
I don’t consider myself a farm wife at all. I am a farmer and so is my husband.
We work side by side each other , make large decisions together , and bring each other up . We work as a team to elicit our daughter as well as our crops , garden and livestock .
It’s the most amazing team I’ve ever been a part of.
